Tunisian-Senegalese cooperation in the digital sector: Partnership between the Tunisian Company SOFTIC and ADIE the IT agency of the State of Senegal

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on November 13, 2019 in Dakar between the Senegalese State Information Technology Agency (ADIE) and the company SOFTIC, a Tunisian software publisher specializing in the development and implementation innovative solutions.

SOFTIC, Partner of Microsoft and HP Business, an International player in the development and commercialization of software solution, particularly in the USA where SOFTIC is in the process of developing solutions for the construction field. SOFTIC count on its very high level technical team, which has the capacity to design and build information systems that meet the needs of businesses, institutions and communities using the most suitable technologies in terms of architecture (systems, networks and applications), decision-making, Artificial intelligence and security.

The agreement was signed by Mr Cheikh Bakhoum, General Director of ADIE, and Mr Mohamed Feki, General Director of SOFTIC, for the launch of a joint private public project entitled "Intranet Project for the implementation of products and innovative services on the Senegalese government intranet ".

The signing of this MoU is part of South-South cooperation between African countries and also responds to the strategy of the national program managed by the Presidency of the Republic of Senegal "Plan Senegal Emergent (PSE)" which encourages joint ventures between Senegalese institutions and foreign companies in the private sector in four growth sectors including digital
